Precision Casting & Exotherm Protocols
Strict operational criteria to ensure zero bubbles, optimal heat dissipation, and glass-like planar cures:
- Live-Edge Slab Sealing: Brush-coat wood edges with thin epoxy 4–6 hours prior to mass pour to lock wood fibers and eliminate venting bubbles.
- Strict Weight Ratio Mixing: Measure Part A and Part B by scale (not volume) at exact 2:1 or 3:1 ratio. Blend slowly for 5–8 minutes scraping container edges.
- Room Ambient Window (20°C–23°C): Maintain workshop temperature below 24°C. For pours exceeding 40 liters, set up an oscillating room fan across mold surface.
- Planing & CNC Machinability: Initial cure: 48–72 hours. Reaches full Shore D 82+ hardness at 7 days, ready for heavy router sled planing, sanding, and buffing.
RT-200 Deep Pour (2:1 Ratio)
Formulated with PureEpox 3357R. Allows 2 to 3 inch (50–75mm) single pours. Ideal for charcuterie boards, coffee tables, void fills, and medium furniture.
RT-300 Ultra Deep (3:1 Ratio)
Formulated with PureEpox 3357S. Allows up to 4 inch (100mm) single pours with extended 24–30 hr gel time. Perfect for large conference tables and deep cube casting.
